High definition footage shot around Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.

Picture is strong and full of detail, with well balanced color and nice shadow delineation.  Not quite worthy of some of the better looking discs (Ordinary Europe), but definitely one of the better than average discs.

Compression artifacts are present, but not to apparent.  The picture occasionally has a slight analog noise look to it, and it is evident this wasn’t shot on the latest and greatest HDVS cameras.  Not a bad looking picture by any means though.

Sound is a nice background accompaniment, but is never more than that.  Sound is primarily focused on the front channels, with the subwoofer and surround channels practically quiet.  Not demo material, and probably better to put you to sleep.

It’s a good disc, but not a memorable one.  If you love Paris or have always wanted to go, I recommend you pick this disc up given the price.  But I wouldn’t consider it the crème-de-la-crème like some of the other scenery discs.
