The Scan-Lock Bandwidth Expansion in the DVP3000 is a highly complex circuit requiring 14 different fine tuning adjustments for each scan rate / aspect ratio / NTSC/PAL combination. These settings are adjusted at the factory using various sources. Once these adjustments are made, the user can make further adjustments to the Bandwidth Expansion with the remote control.
Fine-tuning the processor requires careful attention to the rules for video processing, but taking the image to the next level - producing a film-like image - involves an important element of aesthetic subjectivity. In other words, the Factory settings may not be optimal for the specific installation. For that reason we have made it easy for the User to make any necessary adjustments.
Based on feedback from customers, we have updated some of the recommended fine-tune settings for the DVP3000 to further improve image quality. The new settings are listed below.
The updated adjustments can be made for each of the following combinations. Only make changes for the combinations that are actually used in the current installation.

WARNING: YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENTER THE FACTORY SETUP SUB-MENU. ONLY ADJUST THE SETTINGS LISTED BELOW. ANY ADJUSTMENTS OF OTHER OPTIONS IN THE SUB-MENU COULD CAUSE SIGNIFICANT IMAGE PROBLEMS.
To enter the factory Sub-Menu:
"Factory Preset" on the front panel LCD readout. Then release the buttons.
Note: You should make all the changes only once. Once you exit the Sub-menu, all changes are stored. If you re-enter the Sub-menu all original factory settings will be reloaded, erasing any changes made previously.
The available controls listed are:

Setting Instructions:
Only change the following settings:
When returning to the User menu, the DVP3000 will reset to the Factory settings and store the changes. The Detail and Noise reduction settings stored in the customer presets should be reviewed and readjusted, if necessary.
