The Scan-Lock Bandwidth Expansion in the DVP3000 is a highly complex circuit requiring 14 different fine tuning adjustments for each scan rate / aspect ratio / NTSC/PAL combination. These settings are adjusted at the factory using various sources. Once these adjustments are made, the user can make further adjustments to the Bandwidth Expansion with the remote control.

Fine-tuning the processor requires careful attention to the rules for video processing, but taking the image to the next level - producing a film-like image - involves an important element of aesthetic subjectivity. In other words, the Factory settings may not be optimal for the specific installation. For that reason we have made it easy for the User to make any necessary adjustments.

Based on feedback from customers, we have updated some of the recommended fine-tune settings for the DVP3000 to further improve image quality. The new settings are listed below.

The updated adjustments can be made for each of the following combinations. Only make changes for the combinations that are actually used in the current installation.
