In Swiss Cinemas from October 3rd

Cinedrome brings you another big Hindi film on the same day as it opens in India!

Baghban is one of this years biggest Bollywood films, bringing together two legendary Bollywood stars of the last century: Hema Malini and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, supported by Salman Khan and Mahima Chaudhry. After over 12 years B.R. Films, one of India's most prestigious production houses, has again produced an eagerly awaited film. Although being a mainstream Hindi movie, Baghban also deals with a very interesting socio-cultural aspect, the relation between grown up children and their elderly parents.

Baghban is the story of Raj Malhotra and his family - his wife Pooja and his four sons. Just like a gardener who plants a tree and nurses it in the hope that he would be able to bask in its shade when he grows old, Raj Malhotra and his wife Pooja have raised a family of four sons who are now nicely settled in their respective professions.

Their life is filled with love and prosperity, and all this has been possible because Raj has invested all his income including his provident fund and gratuity in his children who according to him are his assets that would secure his future.

But when he retires, life suddenly changes. None of the four sons is ready to take their parents responsibility. To the extent that Raj and Pooja have to depend on the kindness of strangers. How Raj Malhotra through strife and hardship overcomes this turmoil and comes up a winner is the central crux of Baghban.

Please don't buy pirated VHS tapes, VCDs or DVDs of Bollywood movies. The picture and sound quality of those copies (even the pirated DVDs) are often awful. Only buy the official DVDs to support future distribution of Bollywood films in Switzerland and the production of good quality Bollywood films and DVDs. Original Bollywood-DVDs are generally shrink-wrapped and have a hologram sticker on the front cover.
