In the past various people and organisations have arranged film screenings of Indian films. However, these events were often poorly publicised and the oganisation was not always very professional. Most of these groups stopped showing films after a few shows because they could not reach a big enough audience. Cinedrome tries overcome these problems by showing Indian films to a larger audience. After the success of films like "Laagan", "Bend It Like Beckham" and "Devdas", it is clear that the marketing also needs to reach local people. All films Cinedrome screens are therefore subtitled in English or German/French and Cinedrome tries to arrange screenings in high quality theaters and at times which are suitable for Families.

Cinedrome started out in January 2003 by organzing four shows of the film "Saathiya" in Zurich and Basel. Since then a lot has happend and now Cinedrome has very good connections to the Hindi film industry and brings you the latest Bollywood hits starting onthe same day as the Indian release in Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, Bern, St. Gallen and other Swiss cities.

In 2006 Cinedrome also released the first Swiss Bollywood DVD of the movie "Lakshya" and set the start to a new line of high quality Bollywood DVDs. We are currently working on a film restoration of the film "Dil Chahta Hai" for a future Bly-Ray release.

Since 2009 Cinedrome also offers IT programming and consulting services in the areas of internet solutions and multimedia systems for home cinema installations.
